Not a shit goal exactly but it was a tap in from 3 yards into an open net, so a goal your grandmother would have scored.
Clive Allen 1993. One of the best days ever at UP. Everyone on their transistor radios listening to the score from the Portsmouth game, it was electric...could have gone either way until Allen tapped in, meaning promotion to the Premier League was in the bag.
I was in the upper west so couldn't get on the pitch ...I'm sure a lot of you on here did make it though.
What a day. Still gives me a glow when I think about it. I love this club.

Away to Derby County in 2007.
Corner flicked on by a Derby player and after some head tennis the ball falls to Jonathan Spector eight yards out. Spector directs a not-particularly-hard low shot to Eddie Lewis on the goal line. Lewis stop the ball between his feet before it crosses the line, then inexplicably falls over, dragging the ball into the goal.
We won 5-0.
Also my mate spent a shedload of loyalty points at the local Best Western so a whole bunch of us stayed over for free, experiencing a decent curry and the delights of "Flares" nightclub as well.

In recent seasons ... Piquionne versus Coventry in the Championship to win it 2-1 was laughable.
For the older lot among us Sharon Dickins' goal v Watford in the League Cup at their place in 86...mis-kicked it from 10 yards and trickled past about 4 players before just about crossing the line

Matt Etherington's goal v Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day 2004.
He went charging in at Paul Gerrard, who tried hammering it clear, Etherington turned his back and it rebounded off his arse and in.

Anyway the Zamora one in the op would take some beating as the ball never went in and was blocked on he kine by an offside player - one of the worst pieces of officiating you're likely to se!
Another cracking ridiculous goal is the one that relegated Man City to the third tier years back - the guy basically does what gazza did against Scotland at euro 96, defender clips it over the strikers head and volleys it into his own goal

Not the goal because McAvennie finished it beautifully but the assist from Cottee in the 4-0 demolition of Chelsea in 86. TC's beautifully sliced effort on goal comes perfectly into McAvennies path and wallop.....

Antonio's was off his head while he was lay on the floor infront of the defender. looped over the keeper from about 15 yards out.
was against Southampton - his first goal for us, won me about £500 quid and started a very good run of betting him fgs that season.
